Happy Birthday to Me!

A big box arrived from the Apple Store yesterday, and inside was my birthday present, a beautiful new iMac to replace the old one that is almost five years old and getting very quirky. I love the big screen!

Lemon Tree

Last summer I gave Art a lemon tree for our 4th anniversary (according to Wikipedia, the traditional gift in the UK for this anniversary is fruit or flowers).

Today I went to take a look at it between raindrops and found a number of little green lemons and lots of flower buds!

Felt Heart

I made this stuffed and embroidered felt heart a couple of months ago, just for fun. It got me thinking about making a mobile.

Monkeys and a Bunny

I've been having a great time lately sewing toys for babies!

I made these monkeys for my friend's twin boys, Peyton and Liam.

This bunny is for my baby girl. I love the little tail!

I chose flannel because I like sewing with cotton and it's so soft and perfect for babies.

I found these patterns online at the Funky Friends Factory. It's an Australian company that offers patterns and kits for some very cute stuffed friends. The patterns are very affordable and are available as downloads. Check out the gallery to see some creative results!
